Policy Overview:

A & T Autolocks  have always been committed to protecting your privacy, by strictly maintaining the security of your personal data, but have now made additional changes to our privacy policy in line with the new GDPR legislation.  Our aim is to be completely transparent with how we handle any data you choose to give us.

Web Visitors:
We use web technology called “cookies” for advertising management purposes.  This data helps us behaviour patterns of the visitors to this web site. A cookie is an element of data that our web site sends to your browser, which is then stored on your system. You have full control over your browser and can change the settings in your browser to prevent this happening. If the settings are not changed, any information collected in this manner, can be used to identify you.

What Information We Collect & Why:
When you request a quotation or make an order (both online or over the phone), we need to know basic personal information about how to contact you, your location and your vehicle registration number. This allows us to process and fulfil quotation requests, and if instructed, allows us to fulfil your order. You may wish to withhold personal information that is not required for the quoting/ordering process.

What We Do With your Data:
Your personal data is processed by our staff based in the UK. We follow very strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of your information, and all computer systems are password protected.  We undertake strict procedures to prevent unauthorised access in accordance with the UK data protection legislation.  We do not sell, rent or exchange your personal data with any third party, except to help prevent fraud, or if required to do so by law.  We will not share your information for marketing purposes with any third-party companies.  We only use your contact details to quote as requested, or to send you an invoice if work is carried out.

How Long We Store Your Data:
We store your personal data (name, address, contact details, vehicle details) for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed.  Information will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.

Your Data Protection Rights:
If you feel that the information we process about you is incorrect, you can request to view this information and/or have it corrected, or have it removed from our database.  You can do this by emailing us at getintouch@a-tautolocks.co.uk

If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Administrator, who will investigate the matter – who can be contacted at getintouch@a-tautolocks.co.uk

If you are not satisfied with our response, or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
